Well. I probably wont be writing in this blog again for some time.

Okay okay, nothing mawkish. So yeah. The bottom line is, I LOVED Chennai. (Kinda :P) And Trichy. Cool places. I may aswell say that I loved Tamil Nadu. :D

Just pray that I dont get tanned AGAIN! Okay? Okay.

My evil sidekick - me (Yesh, EVIL-me), shall revolt! I'm not gonna describe day 7. Didnt I describe thirteen days already? Now go drink some water and go to sleep. Coz I am gonna do that.

The last day. Day 14

Day 14: The last day. The day I'm supposed to leave. Hmm.. we went to the each at 7 in the morning. Was it BEAUTIFUL! Gosh. It was AMAZING!!! I LOVED It! And we went in as far as we could go, I mean as far as we were allowed. And it was AMAZING. Woweeee!! =)
Hmm. Came back, took a bath and startted Pakcing! LOL. And reading the book. I kept wondering when the hell I was gonna update my blog. Gah. Well, I had an AWEOSME breakfast. And I slept after that, coz I had not been able to sleep in the train.

Got up, and came to know that my aunt had called. She called back later and.. well. aksed me how my stay in trichy was and stuff.

and omgomgomgomgomg!!! I COMPLETELY forgot. The Day I was supposed to leave Trichy, we went to this saree store too. I bought a saree for my mom. I dont think she likes it a lot, but she likes it the likeable way just the same. And I bought lungis and baniyans for my brother (ROFL)
I didnt buy anything for my dad though (=[).. coz I didnt know his shirt size. Felt a lil bad, but all that evaporated as soon as I reached the book store.

Hmm, continuing. I pakced my suitcase on day 14, had Pasta (mmmm.. was it DELICIOUS!), and well. It was 6 o clock in No time. My mama dropped me. I sed bye bye to everyone. I was pretty much sad.. I LOVED staying with all of 'em.. I mean my cousins,. maami and maama. It was.. MAST! B-)

Well. He dropped me at the airport, and awww, his boss (or maybe colleage) was also going to Delhi. So well. That uncle helped me get my boarding pass and he even boought me a sprite even after I told him that its the thought that counts. Oh well, I liked the sprite anyways.
In the flight, there was this Flight steward called Nimit. I know his name coz the captain announced that it was his b'day. Cool huh? B-).. I wasnt even able to wish him happy bday coz my throat was frozen, so he proabaly didnt get what I sed.

The flight stewardess was this real pretty bandi called Priyanka who was really nice and smiled a lot. I liked her. She was nice.

Okay, so two and a half hours later, I reached Delhi. I got out, got a trolley, and went to the baggage belt. Or whatever its called. I had to wait thwere for HALF AN HOUR before I got my other suitcase, coz there were just TOO many people. And to top it all, this dumb kid kept pushing my trolley backwards, coz he wanted to get to the baggage belt. His mom was nice and said, "Harsh, stop disturbing the didi". In vain, btw. the kid was dumb nevertheless. I hated him. :

After some time, I got my suitcase. Happiness prevailed, and I went out through the exit as fast as I could. I saw my dad and bro there.. and YAY!

well. That was it. I went home, and this blog is Specifically about chennai, so lets just stop here. I came to delhi. The End.

Day 13... !

Day 13: We did NOT go to Kollidam. Instead, we went to this bookshop. Bousht loadsa books. Oh, and yeah, I forgot to mention, I started radint this book called The HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxy. By Douglas Adams. And OMG! It was SO good. I mean it IS so good. So much.. Hilarious! You HAVTA read it! I mean yeahhh..!!

And my uncle gave me loads of movies too! Thanky uncle! I mean hes so nice and kind and gracious and.. . My aunt too. Shez a WONDERFUL cook! And sweet and kind and Totally NICE! =)

So well. We went to Kondiampetai. Its SOOOOOO nice! OMG!!! I Loved it! Thats where my mom and her sisters (my aunts) and mama stayed when they were kids. And woweeee!! Its sooo cool! B-)

I even went to the house of moms former best friend, classmate and neighbour - Gomathi. Gomes, actually :P
She was real nice. :) :) :)

Well. We came back and.. hmm. watched Santosh Subramaniam. I cried. While watching the movie, duhh. Hmm, it was a nice movie. I dont live Jeyam Ravi as such, but hes done a good job. PRakashraj was superrr! B-)Genelia reminded me of Kareena Kapoor from Jab We Met. She was Overly enthusiastic and portrayed a character who was TOO innocent and all. You know, thew type who se\z whatever comes onm their mind out loud. Overall, the movie was cool. Sweet, infact.

I liked Vellithirai too, but not as much as Santosh Subramaniam.

The Movie of the week was Arai in 305 ill Kadavul. I hope I've typed the name of the movie right. The movie was AWESOME. I mean advice with the whole mast wala acting. Watch the movie; you'll like it. The Specific scene which made me call this the movie of the week was the last part. Ending ka ending. I mean when Prakashraj comes over to the Kurut Mansion again. Cool ending! B-)

YOu guys HAVTA watch it! :D

And oh well, Four days passed like this ... they were the best-est days of my stay! WOOHOO! B-).. Coz I go to watch movies AND go out!! Woohoo! :D

Well, everything comes to an end, right? So well. We boarded a train to Chennai. Reached Chennai. And...

Day 12

Day 12: We went to Kollidam river. Again! :D We wer there for FIVE hours! YAY! We even ate IN the river. But a lotta fish appeared outta nowhere coz we were eating and one of us had dropped some food by mistake in the river. And oh well, the place was fulla fish. My cousin chickened out. Well.. shez scared of fishes. Cant blame her. I myself am scared of all creepy crawly creatures. Fishes are not included, and I guess u know that already, coz fishes arent creepy n crawly-ish :D
I got outta the river like in 3 hrs. The next half hour was spent in drying myself. And the rest, in clciking pics. I mean I clicked a Lot of pics wid my cousin, the one who had chickened out. My other two cousins along wid my aunt were still in the river. I took their pics too. Then some abstract photography. Randon stuff. Including a train. :D

7] Boo-hoo: When you normally 'boo' people. No, not the boo! types. The "boo-hoo, hes a cry baby" types boo.

Hmm, so back to the topic. day 12. YEah, we came back and SLEPt. After getting up, we went to something similar to Pizza Hut and saw moms former classmate. She owns the pizza hut-ish place. And we went to Sea Kings. Its an Ice cream Parlour, incase you dont know. It was GREAT!!

BUT. But the time we came back, it was 10 pm. My uncle was dead mad at all of us. I didnt really realise it until.. well. I never did. So just to be on the safer side, I asked him oint blank if he was still mad at us for having come so late. He was like obviously, yeah sure. LOL.
Hmm. I promise I'll never come late again! Anywhere. Okay? Okay.

We slept. :D

Day 11!

Day 11: aah-ha! I rememebr EVERYTHING about this day! Yay! We went to Kollidam River. Its like Kaveri. But its Kollidam anyways. The river was okay okay wala deep. I mean u dint have to Search for water here n there.
the best part about this day was that we learnt swimming!! Woo-hoo! B-)I mean okay, not exactly, but anyways. We still know what swimming is :D :D
We had originally planned to go to Akilandeshwari Temple after bathing in the river. BUT. We got late and decided to stay in the river for some more time. Yay!
So yeah. When we got out of the river, we got tanned. REAL bad. :(

Atleast I did. I even have PROOF! :D

SO yeah, in the evening, we went to Akilandeshwari Temple. WHEEEEEEEEEEE ^_^.. It was AWESOME. We got to see the 'Thanga Tare' too! Yay!
After coming back home, we watched an IPL wala match. And ate. And then we watched some movie. Woo-hoo! :DI think we watched Nepali. The movie was so-so. The theme was so-so too. But I liked the movie as a whole, u know.

Day 9!

Day 9: Continued from where we got down. yeah. We went to my aunts place. and OMG! Her house is SOOO Pretty! And BIG! :o.. I mean Actually big. Its got 3 storeys and all. Mast B-).. I think it'd be better if I call it a bungalow and not a big house :P
Hmm. My aunt was making food (delicious wala) for something called a 'tare' in tamil. It was like giving food to poor people PLUS celebrating holi with Only yellow-ish powder. Yeah, that was about it. Cool thing. I really liked the whole thinggy, except that some weirdo hit me with an egg. No, dont laugh. I mean it was UGHHHHHH-ish, but sinmce everything else was soo cool, I tired to ignore it.

Hmm. Oh yeah, Iforgot, I got LOST. Yeah. L-O-S-T. You see, the place where my aunt lives.. its a bit secluded and.. well, all the roads are interconnected. So I went to this shop to buy something. Lets call that something xyz, coz I dunno whats it called in english. So yeah, I bought some xyz and then promptly got lost. I was pretty much worried, not coz I got lost, but coz the whole place was SO desolate and there were a few.. goats? Yeah. Goats scare me.
After some time, my aunt and uncle found me. I was all red wid embarrassment, coz well, I thght I could go to the shop, buy xyz and come back safely with the xyz. But.. *sniff*
well. my aunt and uncle were pretty nice about it.

when I reached the house, my cosin happily askerd me if I cried.

Duh!!! :D

I was like.. huh? Nope -_-

So yeah. Back to the after the 'tare' wala episode. Hmm, we came back home and watched a movie I think. I honestly dont remember which one. It was nice, I think. No, I dunno honestly.
Oh, and my cousin. He kept hitting me on the head for having called him 'da' or something. Boo-hoo :DOhy yeah, I hit him back too. MUHAHAHAHAHA.
and then I had dinner and slept :)


P.S.: The curd rice made by my aunt and my auncles sister was SO delicious. I think having binged was worth it. LOL. Yay!!! :)

Day 8!

Day 8: I packed. Yeah, you read it right. I packed my suitcase the whole day. Me and my cousins. We ate, read, talked, argued and finally, finished packing. I was in a dilemma as to what I was gonna wear for the journey. We were going by bus, so yeah. I wore this PATHETICALLY white shirt and beach skirt. Yeah, beach skirt. I'll take a pic of it and upload it someday. Believe you me, I WANTED to wear that specific skirt ONLY to the beach. And I dint. So I wore it for the bus journey. I mean I wore it, decided that I looked pathetic and ugly in it and changed into this kurti types thinggy, whihc was big for me, but my aunt had managed to convince me that its the 'fashion' (LOL), and I didnt give a damn anyways. I just wanted to go to trichy.

and OH! That reminds me. I was gonna go to Trichy. Monday night. LOL. The bus journey was incredibly NON-sleepy and this guy who was sittign diagonally opposite me and my cousin kept looking back coz the mobile kept ringing and waking him up from his sleep. Poor chap. (LOL)

Well. We got down, and my aunt was waiting for us there.

Wait, we got down at 6 am, so technically speaking, that was day 9.

oh no NO!

I jus reread my last post. I think I'm giving the impression thaT I'm bored in Chennai!and oh no NO! Coz its not so. I jus made a fuss about the fact tha chennai is congested and humid. :D

Okay, am bored.
Its pretty much hard when you havta write about what u did for 7 days in a different place in seven different posts. I mean I dont HAVE to, but if I dont, then this blogs jus gonna be incomplete. :
So yeah. I think I'm supposed to start writng from Day 8. Hmm.

Things that I've learned so far (during my stay here):


1. Its too hot. And humid. I have this thing for telling people This one fact. Ive repeated the same thing a ZILLION times. Everytime.
So why not write about it too? :P

2. Sunblocks dont work here. I repeat, sun blocks NEVER work here. The sun is TOO intense. but whatever. My arms (just above the elbow) have been tanned a shade darker as compared to the skin Jus below the shoulder. Ga-ha. Do I havta say? My legs suffered the same fate. I'll never be able to waear shorts again. And I hate that :|. Period.

3. You cant live without an AC here (in chennai, if you couldnt guess). If you do, you'll become a big ball of weird dirt in two days straight.
note: I figured out the last part.

4. It's impossible to go out in the sun. I repeat, Impossible. It's like this story I read when I was a kid.. that some weird people (astronauts) go to MERCURY and they go in some specially made suit thats designed to protect them from the heat for Exactly 20 minutes. After that.. they simply char to death. But they manage to escape in time. Whatever -_-
so yeah, the same way, you cant stay on the streets (that is, out in the sun) for too much time out here. You either go seek refuge in a mall (LOL) OR you go back to the place where yer staying. But the former option is kinda... dunno. nice? :D

5. I just realised that the word "toenails" mentioned in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is infact "toe-nails" and not "toen-ails". The HYPHEN not being there made me go BONKERS. I mean I got confused and all, and I jus had NOT managed to UNDERTSAND that one dumb fact for five years. I read HP2 when I was in 5th grade. Damn, it makes sense. I was just TOO dumb then. Right now, I'm just dumb.
Either way, I'm dumb.

but wait, this post is not about me being dumb, this post is about chennai being VERY hot. :o


6. [censored] {coz its to be told to my mom. ONLY (and STOP imagining stuff!)}

So. Thats all I've learnt so far. I'll probably keep updating this post or keep making new posts about whatever Ive learnt. LOL. No, that was nthing to LOl about.

Day 5 and 6!!

I cant spend much time here (hell these are my HOLS!).. but anyways. Read on.


Day 5: I was at my aunts place. We went JUST in time to sleep :D
So yeah, We got up in the morning. Got ready and went SAREE shopping -_-
It was.. well. FAST. Quick,rather.
our cousin took us to her new house. I mean the rent wala. But anyway, it was a sweet place. Totally nice, and spacious. Well, kinda.
The evening was the BESTEST part! LOL.. we went to.. umm, Marina Beach. It was SOOOO much fun! And from there, we went to Saravana Bhavan, striahgt, sand and water dripping from our clothes. I also got to talk to my mom in b/w.

The beach was ESpeCiAlly nice!! Yeah! B-)
I feel bad for the restaurant ppl, the place was... SANDY :P

So yeah, by the time we came back home and took a bath (a beach = LOTS of sand, remember?).. and went to sleep, it was like 12 am. Phew. Went off to sleep Seedha.

Day 6: That is, today. We went to my cousins place.. it was her daughters first birthday. It was a GRAND celebration. Totally. The food was especially delicious. I also met a lot of my aunts. All of them are my moms relatives and all. I love 'em all a LOT! =)

Oh, and the kid, the b'day kid I mean, kept crying and then laughing. Something like that. I tried to make her laugh by... hmm. Saying that a banana in english is a vazhapazham in tamil and a kela in hindi.

I got to SERVE food too!! YAY! Coz Ive always wanted to! :D
After some time, I sed bye bye to all my aunts and their lubly daughters, and went over.. wait for it.. another aunts place. Actually, the aunt whose place I went to the day before, that is, day 5.

We took a nap there, all of us. Had DOSAS and vadas! (YAY!)
And then dropped my cousin at her 'pattu class' and came here. Yeah, I'm typing all this now. Phree taym, you see :D


So yeah. Any more events? :\
Na-ah. I wanna go to sleep.

P.S.: I got to know that mom used to be called 'uchi' lovingly by.... dunno. So. UCHI! ;D

Something eventful (if you CAN call it that) happened.
The place where I stay.. is like this whole apartment wala thinggy
So yeah, some people sed somethiong (Still cant comprehend the whole thinggy) to my li'l cousin. She got mad and complained to us. So I went over and talked. Oh, and yeah, my other cousin chickened out. -_-

I got tai-tai phissed there -_-
I mean everyone of those playing there will prolly think Im some weird jerk. BUT. Whatever. I LOVE arguing and infact, was happy that something had cropped up in these vacations.. coz they were slowly becoming monotonous.

So yeah. Then I got all philosophical and told my cousin that she had her whole life to call them stuff and that she should be patient.

As a matter of fact.. Id have fought. I DID fight.. but LOL anyways.

so day FOUR was eventful. No, it was jus weirdly different from all the other three days! Maybe. not.


Gotta go take a bath now. Haffun! =)

Haven = Heaven without an 'e'

After being chided by my mom for having made a 'typo'.. that is, for having written HAVEN instead of HEAVEN, I figured out that almost EVERYONE would have thght on the same lines.
So. Lets start with the DEFINITIONS.

haven (without the 'e'): A place where u seek refuge; which offers you shelter.

heaven (WITH the 'e): a place that is delightful.. so delightful that it could be an Utopian vision of... anything!



SO. Ive NOT made a typo, and point is, I dont wanna call Chennai a hEaven. Because it isn't. LOL.
Doesnt mean its NOT nice.

No paradox involved.

Right. Enough for today.

Chennai is a Haven indeed. =)

Day 3 and 4

Day 3: I got up pretty early - 8 something am! :D
Took a bath, and had a breaksfast cum lunch. And we went to this mall called "Citi Centre".. I liked the escalators there. ONLY. Othewrwise, I had sweet corn, and the people there wont serve ice cream in cones, so we went to this other place which was like baskin robins, but no, it wasnt baskin robins. The bottom line is, I had ice cream. 'Twas DELICIOUS! :D

There were three of us. me, Cousin 1, and cousin 2. Cousin 2 took us (hes elder to botha us; so yeah).. and he bought us whatever we wanted! Thank you cousin 2! Otherwise, cousin 1 was quiet. VERY quiet indeed. She didnt talk, as a matter of fact. I was the only one blabbering away (I SOO dint wanna use that word)..

Well yeah, come 4 30 and we were back at home. Cousin 1 went to her singing waale classes. And I went down and walked for a change. walked, as in, simply walked.


So yeah. I had my dinner at about 9 30 pm.. and then from 10 to 11, we played card games. Actually, till 11 30. We played this game called UNO. I'm pretty much sure u'd have seen its advertisements on television. I myself have, as a matter of fact, seen them. :D


and then we Went to sleep, it was SO hot.


Okay. so yeah, Day 4:
got up a bit late coz we slept later than usual. Had breakfast before any of us had taken a bath. I was especially feeling weird and sticky and BLOATED! Totally! The food was SO delicious, I jus could NOT help eating more and MORE!

I came to chennai thinking Id learn to manage the amount of food I eat, but infact, the portions I normally eat have doubled.
We played card games again, I made a few friends here. None of them are close to my age, though. Chalta. I like them anyways. I mean I havent even thght about that.

Took a bath. Felt kinda fresh. Saw Golmaal (2007) AGAIN! :o.. Dint finish watching it though.. the movie is SUCH a bore! I dunno why the songs were such a hit! Ga-ha! :|

So. its around 6 something now. check out the time yerselves(On the BLOg, duh. Jus incase u looked at the clock on the wall). I'll be going to another aunts place (YAY!).. and anyways. THIS is day 4.

I'll prolly have a nice meal, go to bed and get up.. meet some more relatives and then I'll come back here.

Well, Im not a soothsayer, so yeah. Haffun. :D

NO Girl here wears jeans. I wonder WHY. BUT. Point is.. some of 'em do. But as far as I've seen, everone here goes around in churidaars and salwar kameezes and davinis and pavadais! :o

Okay. Its normal here. But its not the LEAST normal for me.

I'm still gonna believe that I CAN see ppl who're wearing jeans and all. W/e though.

I know.. this is weirdly indecent of me. You know, to indirectly make fun of everyone here. BUT. I'm a jerk. period.

So LOL>> I'll tell ya for sure if ppl here do move around in tradtional stuff

omg! I just realised why the whole sawaar kameez thinggy pisses me off SO much. coz its TRADITIONAL! And I hate conventional stuff!

So yeah. Day 3 = going to a mall. some mall.

Day 1 and 2. :P

GaWd has today been CRAPPY. -_-

I mean. The last five minutes or so. Coz I found out that all my cousins are busy enough to not take me to my aunts place. Bad luck.

But anwyway. Since I AM in chennai now, I'll tell ya about… Chennai? And the trip, etc. w/e

So.

Day 1: I was supposed to get up at 3-something am for a 6-something am flight, jus coz my aunt SWEARS she saw 5-something am written. So.. My way to the pursuit of crappiness starte right on the first day itself.

(Wait, dont gemme wrong; I LOVE it here! :D)

The flight was good. Boring, actually. I paid for my breakfast. Litchi juice and a sanwhich (veg) that looked like half a nice ol' sub. At double the price.

And I saw this small time tamil acctor called Pandia Rajan in the flight. I even got to say hello to the cap'n! :D

LOL. AND.. my brothers a HUGe fan of this pandiarajan guy, so I took his autograph too. Woohoo! B-)

So. I reached chennai. and OMG! The HUMIDITY! :o... It KILLED me! The place where I live (muhahahaha. This post is visible to Everyone, right?) is Just as hot, BUT, ppl dont sweat. Dunno why, its too much.. science :P

The weathers not the least nice. :(

Okay. So I went to my aunts place. And then to my mama's (moms bro) place. Nice place. I love their house! ^_^

So yeah. I saw my li'l cousins. two of 'em.. Sweet :D.. and I watched some movie... something called Azhagiya Tamizh Magan (for all u tamizh mnakkal out there, this movie SUCKS. Dont watch it if u havent. And Im jus tOO bored to write a review)

LOL>> Had an aweoome dinner (DOSA!).. and slept.

Day 2: MUHAHAHAHA. This is day 2. I mean am writing all this today.

Right. So I started my day by getting up at around 7 30. Took a bath, and almost immediately started sweating. Gah-ha -_-

LOL.. had a GREAT b/fast.. SAI MAMA MADE IT!! :D.. LOL.. rava dosa this time! :P

Hes the bestest male cook EVER!

then I Watched this movie called Jillunu oru kaadhal... its okay. Wont recommend it though, you could watch FRIENDS instead of that. Way WAY better! :D

In the evening, I went to the market. bought a few things... yeah. I'm trying real hard to be a miser. -_-

Then went to Adayar ananda Bhavan. A five minute walk from where I stay! YAY! It was SOO delicious! Thanks mama! =)

Okay. So I came bak after that and tried to think about tomorrow. Did so too. :D

and ROFLOL.. I just remembered. They say gopi instead of GOBI here!! LOL!!
and DHAL instead of Dal :P

I know its totally insane. no, not the spellings. I meant me making gfun of this. Ga-ha. Big deal though. :|

P.S.: This other cousin told me that I jus DUNNO tamil. Indirectly :P

Im SO not believing that. no, I wont.

P.S.S: We're allowed 30kgs of baggage. The weight, I mean. Guess how much ours came out to be? :D
